Our team of experienced professionals understands the challenges that veterans may face. We acknowledge the impact of military service on mental health and are committed to supporting veterans' mental health needs.
Each year, we award up to $10,000 to qualified scholars headed for college or in college. Ideal candidates are currently enrolled or can show proof of upcoming acceptance to an accredited nursing or mental health related program.

Our funding assistance program is designed to provide financial support to households and families that are facing financial difficulties. Our program provides assistance with essential expenses, including but not limited to housing, education, healthcare, food, and utilities.
We are dedicated to serving as a trusted liaison for those in need of transitional housing services. With a strong commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of women and children while ensuring supportive environments.
"Daniel was born September 16, 1991. He was a healthy, 7.9lb, 21in long baby. As a young boy, he was very loving and he advanced at walking, feeding himself, and even spelling at the age of 4.
His elementary school years were normal, until around the 4th grade. Noticeably, he was being sent to ISS for challenges with a bullying classmate. Daniel was transferred to another school an hour away, by my choice. He had a math challenge also. He love the arts though--acting and photography were his favorites.
He was a caring, loving, knowledgeable. He was very much into movies, music, anime, and he was funny when he spoke. He was a protector of those he cared about. He loved to make others laugh. He loved laughter.
During his teenage years, we began to see a change in Daniel. He began to alienate himself, and even tried to hide the pain of losing his grandmother and grandfather, whom he loved dearly. At the age of 19, he was diagnosed with a mental illness called Bipolar Disorder. He suffered with depression, insomnia, and feeling lonely. Medical providers tried him on several medications, and he even went to counseling. He did everything that he could to beat his condition..."
Daniel's Notes is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, on a mission to raise awareness on mental health and support low income families in Gaston and Mecklenburg Counties.
Daniel's Notes was established in 2018, in honor of our son, brother, and uncle--our beloved, Daniel Edwards.
